Santokh Singh Sukh, father of Bigg Boss 13 fame actress Shehnaaz Gill was shot at by two unidentified miscreants on Saturday night, December 25.
Incidentally, the episode took place just two days after Santokh Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the upcoming Punjab assembly elections scheduled to be held in 2022.
What happened?
According to reports, the incident took place at a Dhaba in Jandiala Guru. Sukh was traveling from Amritsar to Beas and stopped by at the Dhaba for his security to go to the toilet.
In his statement to the police, he alleged his security wanted to go to the washroom, and therefore, he stopped his car near Gurdaspuria Dhaba.
He said two bike-borne persons stopped near his car and fired at him. Four gunshots hit his car. He said the accused fled when his security threw bricks at them after hearing gunshots. He immediately informed Jandiala Guru police and a team of cops reached the spot.
The Jandiala Guru police said the matter appeared suspicious and an investigation is on. The police confirmed that they recovered four empty shells from the site.

Meanwhile, actor Shehnaaz Gill, Santokh Singh’s daughter, has not been seen on social media ever since her rumored boyfriend Sidharth Shukla this year. Shehnaz was last seen in the Punjabi film Honsla Rakh, opposite Diljit Dosanjh.
