Shehnaaz Gill announced her new song for Sidharth Shukla in her first social media post since his death, paying a “heartfelt homage” to the actor.

Sidharth Shukla, who died on September 3 in Mumbai at the age of 40, was reportedly with Shehnaaz Gill in his final moments.

Shehnaaz Gill tweeted and shared a post on Instagram as a promo for her song Tu Yaheen Hai, “Tu mera hai aur…” “Tu Yaheen Hai…my heartfelt tribute to Sidharth Shukla,” reads the text on the poster. Shehnaaz will release a new song dedicated to Sidharth Shukla tomorrow.

Rumours

Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill were rumoured to be dating. They never declared themselves to be a couple, though. When they were in the Bigg Boss 13 house, Shehnaaz Gill frequently expressed her love for the actor multiple times. 

In 2020, the Sidharth won the season. Later, the two came together on reality shows including Bigg Boss OTT and Dance Deewane 3.

Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla co-starred in a couple of music videos after Bigg Boss 13, including Bhula Dunga and Shona Shona.

Songs that have recently been released

Sidharth Shukla’s music video Habit, which he filmed with Shehnaaz Gill before his death, was recently uploaded on the Internet. Due to the actor’s death, the track’s filming could not be completed.

However, the filmmakers chose to premiere it in Sidharth Shukla’s honour. The song is a musical montage in which actual pictures from Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill’s music video are supplemented by behind-the-scenes footage of the couple having fun on the Habit set. 

Shehnaaz Gill took a hiatus from her work after Sidharth’s untimely death. However, she returned to work a few weeks later.

Sidharth Shukla’s family issued a statement four days after his death, requesting “privacy to grieve

Sidharth Shukla’s family released their first statement following the actor’s untimely death. Shukla, who was transported to a Mumbai hospital on September 2 after complaining of problems the night before, was pronounced dead by medical officials. He was 40 years old at the time.

While Shukla’s fans and industry colleagues are still reeling from the unexpected news, his family has expressed gratitude to the well-wishers who have been a part of his journey and have showered him with unconditional affection. They also asked for privacy while they grieved the actor’s passing.

“It doesn’t end here, because he’s now permanently ensconced in our hearts!” We pray that you grant our family the privacy to grieve as Sidharth cherished his privacy, according to a statement posted on Monday.

The actor’s family also expressed gratitude to Mumbai Police for their compassion, protection, and sensitivity while the family grieves. “They’ve been like a shield, shielding us and standing with us at all times!” Please remember him in your prayers and thoughts. It went on to say, “Om Shanti – The Shukla Family.”

Shukla, who began his career as a model before conquering the world of television and becoming a household figure in India, was cremated at Mumbai’s Oshiwara cremation. 

At the crematorium, there were Shukla’s mother, Rita Shukla, sisters, and reputed girlfriend Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, who was accompanied by her brother Shehbaz.

A teary-eyed Karan Johar on ‘Bigg Boss OTT,’  paid a heartfelt homage to the late actor on the show. The director expressed his regret for the loss of the ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress.

After hearing about the actor’s death, Johar stated he “couldn’t breathe” because he was still numb. “This is something that we all find difficult to believe. It’s as if I’m paralysed; I can’t even breathe.” Shukla had previously featured in season 13 of ‘Bigg Boss,’ where he was crowned the show’s winner.

Salman Khan, the show’s host and a Bollywood superstar, also expressed his sorrow over the actor’s death. “Siddharth, you were taken from us far too soon. You will be missed. RIP” Salman Khan took to Twitter to express himself.
