The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results for NEET UG 2023 on Tuesday. A staggering number of 21 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, which took place on May 7, 2023. The results are accessible on the official NEET website neet.nta.nic.in.

Due to the prevailing violence in Manipur, the NTA had to conduct the medical entrance examination separately in the state. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG)-2023 was conducted by the NTA on May 7, and the results were unveiled recently.

According to the released results, a total of 11,45,976 candidates have qualified. The highest number of qualified candidates hailed from Uttar Pradesh (1,39,961), followed by Maharashtra (1,31,008).

Among the qualifiers, there were 5,25,194 individuals from the OBC category, 1,53,674 from the SC category, 56,381 from the ST category, 3,12,405 from the General category, and 98,322 from the EWS category.

Moving forward, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the counseling dates for the qualified and eligible candidates. To participate in the seat allotment process, candidates need to register on the MCC website mcc.nic.in.

Through the NEET result, admission to 1,05,433 MBBS seats, 27,948 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, 487 BSc Nursing seats, and 603 BVSc seats will be granted. Additionally, 1205 AIIMS MBBS seats and 200 JIPMER MBBS seats across 15 AIIMS and 2 JIPMER institutes will also be allocated. Candidates can find further details on the official website.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) annually, which serves as a mandatory qualification for individuals seeking admission to undergraduate courses in medical fields such as MBBS, BDS, and Ayush.
