Schools in Assam for classes 1 to 8 and 11 would resume physical classes from October 19, 2021, in the state. According, to the official notice released by the government of Assam classes for Degree colleges, Technical colleges, Polytechnic colleges, B.Ed colleges, and other Universities had reopened from October 1, 2021.
It should be noted that all educational institutions would re-open following strict COVID-19 protocols maintaining physical distancing, wearing masks, sanitization of buildings, and others. There will also be thermal scanning as well and all school/college authorities are expected to follow the guidelines.

Meanwhile, physical classes for class 10 have already resumed from September 20, 2021. Further, physical classes have also started for class 12 students in the state from September 6, 2021. Classes for 1 to 8 would be conducted for 3 days a week.
Those who do not want to attend physical classes would be given the option to do online classes. The decision to reopen educational institutions in the state has been taken after the state witnessed a decline in the number of COVID-19 cases.
