Through an online conference, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the satellite centre of IIM Shillong at Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.

The centre IIM is one of its kind centre build with an aim for management, administration and policy interventions. This is also the first collaborative effort of two of the most prominent institute of northeast India – IIM Shillong and the Satellite Centre in Arunachal Pradesh.
This collaboration will be a think tank for the Arunachal Pradesh Government as it will help in establishing and operating various sectors such as tourism, health and education of the state.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the IIM Shillong, Arunachal Pradesh Government and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam centre for Policy Research and Analysis for building a satellite centre.
The inauguration was successfully conducted via online medium and was regarded as an historic occasion for the north eastern states. According to the Union Minister, this initiative will help in creating a space for learning and providing ample job opportunities to the youth. The centre also proved to be big step in achieving public professionalism and better governance.
