As per reports, a case has been filed by the Delhi-based lawyers requesting the arrest of 38 Tollywood and Bollywood celebrities for revealing the identity of a rape victim through social media.
A veterinarian was raped and burnt alive by four men in Hyderabad. This case is from 2019 and many actors showed their grievances through their social media handles and some had also revealed the victim identity. A Delhi-based lawyer has filed a case on 38 actors on doing such, as per reports.
As per law, it is unethical to reveal the identity of the victims in any platform media or public platform. Anupam Kher, Farhan Akhtar, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Maharaja Ravi Teja, Rakul Preet Singh, Allu Sirish, Charmme Kaur, are among the celebs the case is being filed.
The lawyer filed the case at Sabzi Mandi Police Station under IPC section 228 A and also filed a petition in Tees Hazari Court. Further, the lawyer said the celebs were not being responsible citizens.
