Russia appoints New Military Commander in Ukraine

General  Aleksandr Dvornikov of Russia is the newly appointed Military  Commander  of Ukraine. He has been appointed by Russia’s Vladmir Putin.  The newly appointed commander was the mastermind behind the attack that was launched in Kramatorsk Railway Station which killed nearly 50 civilians, including children.

Russia appoints new commander

The captain will hold  power as the overall incharge in Ukraine.   As per the leading news source, WION, Russian forces have failed to annex one of the key areas of Ukraine, the capital city Kyiv.  The  recent  attack on the railway station was the game play of General  Aleksandr Kvornikov who has been alleged to have killed at least 50 people in the attack.

The commander has been appointed amid military’s failure to capture kyiv. Ahead of the victory day, May 9th, the general is speculated to represent the battlefield progress.  The 9th of May is regarded as the victory day in Moscow as the former USSR was declared triumph against the Germany powers in the Second World War.

After the recent killings in Bucha,  The officials in the EU has  ’stated that the self imposed deadline could make the Russians commit more atrocities in Ukraine.’

According to the recent report from CNN, “The United Kingdom’s ministry of defence says that the enemy troops were withdrawn from Northern Ukraine”.

Ukraine has over all destroyed 13 russian aerial targets on Sunday. United Kingdom’s Prime Minister also visited the war torn region to extend his support to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and also to the people of Ukraine. The new move to appoint Military Commander thus can be seen as a way to set things different as it failed to annex Kyiv.  The new commander was the first commander to be appointed by the Military in Syria in 2015. As commented by the Official of EU, “ we will see how effective that proves to be”. He also added that “ The doctrine, the tactics remain pretty much as they have been since Afghanistan.
