Table Tennis At Royal Global University: The 4-day East Zone Inter University Table Tennis (Women) 2022-2023 was kicked off with a great start at Royal Global University.

It may be mentioned that Ms. Madalasa Hazarika Boruah, former international table tennis player, an inspirationfor zillions in the sports fraternity, graced the occasion with the Chief Guest Dr. Shankar Jyoti Basumatari, Dean, Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education.
Meanwhile, Prof. (Dr.) S.P Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Royal Global University welcomed the visitors along with the 34 teams and their coaches and also encouraged the participants highlighting the expanding role and importance of women in sports off late.
Matches were held at different slots on the first day of the event between Benaras Hindu University, Gauhati University, Ravindra Bharati University, Amity University, Hemchand Yadav Visvavidyalaya, Cotton University, Sahid Mahindra Karma Vishwavidyalaya, Vinobhave University, Mizoram University, SOA Bhubaneswar, University of Calcutta, KIIT University, Dhanamanjuri University, Dibrugarh University, Atal Bihari Vajpayee University and Utkal University.
Furthermore, the second day saw stiff competition amongst Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapath vs RGU, Rabindra Bharati University vs Mizoram University, The university of Burdwan vs University of Calcutta, Dhanamanjuri University vs North East Hill University, Rabandra Bharati University Vs Lalit Narayan Mithila University, University of North Bengal vs University Of Calcutta, NEHU vs Jadavpur university.
The highlight of the day was the nerve-wrecking match between Admas University vs Manipur University on December 6. The award ceremony for the same will be held on December 8.
