In a heinous crime, relative rapes 8 year old girl in Guwahati.
Reportedly, a eight year old girl was allegedly raped by her uncle for several days.
Uncle rapes 8 year old after he brought him to his home
As per information, the girl was raped after she was brought to Guwahati from her parent’s home by her uncle.
She was brought from Kamrup district to Guwahati by her Uncle during the Bihu festival in mid-January.
Incident was disclosed after she returned home
This heinous crime was disclosed when the minor girl returned to her home and informed her mother.
After returning home the girl informed her mother regarding the incident. After which the girl’s father filed a police complaint against the uncle.
The accused is on a run
The father registered an FIR, after which the police had initiated an investigation.
The police are now trying to nab the culprit but he is on a run as per the police.
As per reports from the National Crime Records Bureau, Assam records the highest rate of crime against women.
The rate of crime against women in Assam was 154.3%, much higher than the national rate of 56.5%.
