Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to restore daily train service between Dekargaon and Murkongselek from December 15 to meet passenger demand. It has been agreed to run one weekly special train for eight journeys each way between New Tinsukia and Puri.
Railway operation
Every day, Train No. 15813 Dekargaon – Murkongselek express will depart from Dekargaon at 04:45 a.m. and arrive in Murkongselek at 13:45 p.m. Train No. 15814 Murkongselek – Dekargaon express will run every day, departing Murkongselek at 15:30 hours and arriving in Dekargaon at 00:30 hours the next day.

Furthermore, it has been decided to conduct one weekly special train for eight journeys in each direction between New Tinsukia and Puri. From December 12 to January 30, 2022, the train will depart New Tinsukia, and from December 15 to February 2, 2022, it will depart Puri.

Train No. 05970 New Tinsukia – Puri weekly superfast special will run for eight journeys beginning December 12th, 2021, leaving New Tinsukia at 22-30 hours on Sundays and arriving in Puri at 11:00 hours on Tuesdays. In the other route, Train No. 05969 Puri – New Tinsukia weekly superfast special will run for eight trips, departing Puri at 05:30 hours on Wednesdays starting December 15, 2021, and arriving in New Tinsukia at 16:45 hours on Thursdays.
