Bollywood actor R Madhavan is at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. In an interview, the actor was heard praising India and its success over the ‘micro-economy’ which was led by PM Modi.

The actor said when Modi introduced the concept of digitilisation many farmers in India didnt even know the term then. Today, in every nook and corner people are going digital. The use of cashless transaction is increasing.
A video was shared on social media by the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur wherein the actor can be heard saying “when the PM started his term, he introduced the micro economy and digital currency. There was an uproar around the world amid the economic community which said it’s not going to work, its disaster.”
As per reports, the country has also been made the Country of Honour at this year’s Marche Du Films.
