Purvottar Swabhiman Utsav: The Eastern Command of the Indian Army is organising Purvottar Swabhiman Utsav to celebrate the contribution of the Northeastern Region in nation building.

A panel discussion was conducted at Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati on Sunday. The panel was attended by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and many other dignitaries.
Lt Gen Rana Pratap Kalita, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, told that this seminar will take us closer to the goal of a prosperous Northeast playing a pivotal role in nation building.
Meanwhile, former Rajya Sabha MP Shri Swapan Dasgupta highlighted how this transformational development in the Northeastern Region will inspire the entire nation to progress.
Moreover, Th Basanta Singh, the Education & Law Minister of Manipur, highlighted the outstanding contribution by the state in the arena of sports with sportspersons having brought laurels to the country in international events.
