Vijay Singla who is the health minister was arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau on 24th May 2022 as he was sacked by the present Punjab CM who has formed the government in the state.

Aam Admi Party has formed the government in Punjab two months back.
As per reports from TOI, The Chief Minister of Punjab recommended registering a case of corruption against the Health Minister Vijay Singla.
According to reports, Vijay Singla has been accused of demanding commission from development workers and tenders. The Government has made it quite clear in the live video which was streamed that they would be issuing a clean government and zero tolerance for corruption.
Bhagwant Mann said, “I knew about the corrupt acts of the minister as neither media nor opposition parties knew about it and I could easily have put it under wraps but for being the soldier of AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, I went ahead to drop him from the cabinet.”
The chief minister’s action was highly praised by the country and by Arvind Kejriwal.
