After AAP party leader Bhagwant Mann came into power in the state of Punjab, the government announced to give every household 300 units of power from 1st July. Today marks the day that Bhagwant Mann has completed one month in office and a piece of good news was announced to the people of Punjab.
AAP fulfills their promises made during campaigns
The Punjab’s CM wrote in a tweet the 12th of April, 2022, “ Had a
wonderful meeting with our leader and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Very soon, will give good news to the people of Punjab.”
In the campaigns that was run by AAP, the party promised to give
300 units of power free and today it has fulfilled the promises that
they had made. A concern of the general public was that despite
having a surplus power production, many people face the problems
of long hours of power cut and high amount of bill.
Arvind Kejriwal also added that, “ there are many people in villages who got wrong bills and their power connections were cut because of the non-
payment and such people resorted to stealing power”.
This is the second agenda that has been fulfilled by the AAP
government in Punjab today. Earlier this month, AAP government
also fulfilled the delivery of ration scheme at the doorstep. Apart
from these, employment opportunities were also opened up for
various departments in the state.
The AAP government came to power in the state by defeating the
previously ruling congress and the Dal Bahujan Samaj Party and the
BJP Punjab lok congress alliance. In total the APP government won
92 seats.
