After amidst discussion on Prashant Kishor‘s possibility of joining congress, Sonia Gandhi the president of congress party made an official statement that the strategist has declined to be a part of the party. The statement was released on Tuesday, 26th of April 2022.

As per reports, the congress announced that Prashant who is an election strategist will not be a part of the party for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Earlier today, the congress party president, Sonia Gandhi announced that the constitution of the group.
As per the tweet of Randeep Surjewala who is the Congress General Secretary said, “following a presentation and discussion with Prashant Kishor, the congress President has constituted a empowered action group 2024 and invited him to join the party as part of the group with defined responsibility. He declined. We appreciate his efforts and suggestion given to party.
Prashant Kishor who is an election strategist was likely to join congress. The congress party president Sonia Gandhi was supposed to be finalising the decision.
At the time of first meeting, the election strategist spoke with Mrs Gandhi along with Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to chalk out a revival plan in order to have higher winning chances in the upcoming election of 2024. A presentation was prepared and the same was circulated to get a unbiased feedback on Prashant Kishor’s possibility to joining the party.
