Assam’s Crime Branch has launched an investigation into an alleged incident in which a pornographic video clip began playing on the back screen of an event attended by Union Minister Rameswar Teli in the state’s Tinsukia district.
According to reports, the event was attended by Niti Aayog member Dr. VK Saraswat, Indian Oil Chairman SM Vidya, state labor minister Sanjoy Kishan, Assam Petrochemicals Limited (APL) chairman Bikul Deka, and senior executives of Indian Oil Assam.
Meanwhile, police detained and questioned a projector operator in connection with the incident.
The reported event occurred on Monday, during Indian Oil’s test launch of methanol-blended M-15 gasoline in Tinsukia on Saturday.
Following the project’s debut, a meeting was scheduled at a city hotel, where the unfortunate incident occurred.
The porn video was played as an Indian Oil executive was delivering the speech
According to insiders, the porn video clips were playing as an Indian Oil executive was giving a speech on stage and a projection screen was showing film clips of the methanol-blended fuel project in the backdrop.
According to reports, when the projector operator was replacing a video clip, a pornographic film showed on the screen, shocking and embarrassing everyone.
The movie, which lasted three to four seconds, was quickly removed by the projector operator, but not before some onlookers captured the action on their cellphone cameras.
“I was listening to the Indian Oil official’s speech and couldn’t see anything on the screen. I was completely oblivious of the situation until my personal assistant approached me and informed me of it. I urged the district collector, who was present, to begin an investigation into the incident right now. If this is true, the person found culpable in the affair would face severe consequences,” warned Union Minister Teli.
Police were dispatched to the scene to investigate the occurrence, and a complaint was filed with the Tinsukia Police Station.
