On Saturday, Police at the Badarpur Railway Station confiscated 287 bags of illegal Burmese supari from a train.

According to reports, the train was travelling from Agartala to Sealdah. A squad of cops checked the train based on specific information and discovered 287 bags of the suspected unlawful Bumese supari.

Government Railway police tweets

“Based on specific input, 287 bags of suspected illegal Burmese Supari have been confiscated from Train No. 13174, Agartala to Sealdah Express at Badarpur Railway Station,” Government Railway police posted on Twitter. Assam cannot be utilised as a transit point for illegal drugs.
