Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the teaching fraternity on Teachers’ Day, 5th September, and confessed it was commendable how teachers have ensured and innovated the education journey of students progresses during the Covid times.
On the birth anniversary of former President S. Radhakrishnan, which is celebrated as Teacher’s Day, the Prime Minister paid tribute to him.

“On Teachers’ Day, greetings to the entire teaching fraternity, which has always played a pivotal role in nurturing young minds,” PM Modi tweeted.
“I pay my respects to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on his Jayanti and recall his distinguished scholarship as well as contributions to our nation,” PM Modi said in another tweet.

The day which marks a special celebration for acknowledging the efforts of our teachers is practiced in many countries.
