In Demow, Sivasagar a group of six persons arrested for robbing two ATM machines on September 5.
The ATMS were of Punjab National Bank in Nitai Path and State Bank of India near central market. The thieves reportedly looted a large of money from the two ATMs.
Six persons arrested for robbing ATMs in Sivasagar
A search operation was launched by the Demow Police across the state of Assam to nab the culprits. Finally, the miscreants were nabbed on Tuesday.
The six robbers have been identified as – Abdul Ahmed, Taruful Ali, Amirul Islam, Irfanul Hussain, Abdul Sattar, Ataur Rahman.
All the six accused are currently under the custody of Demow Police, further investigation is underway.
