Navy MR Recruitment Selection Criteria
For this recruiting, the Indian Navy will conduct two types of exams: a written exam and a physical fitness test.
Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Indian Navy will call approximately 1,500 individuals for a written exam and physical fitness test. On the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination, candidates will be selected for the written examination and PFT (i.e. 10th examination). The cut-off marks may differ from state to state depending on the number of openings available in each state.
1. The Written Exam
2. The following are the specifics of the written examination that will be held to identify the qualified candidates for this position.
Medium: The question paper will be written in two languages: Hindi and English.
Question Type: The questions will be objective in nature.
Syllabus: The question paper will be divided into two sections: science and mathematics and general knowledge. All of the questions will be on the 10th level. The Syllabus may be seen here, as well as a sample question paper.
Exam Time: The exam will take 30 minutes to complete.
2. Physical Fitness Examination (PFT)
3. Physical Fitness Test qualification is required for selection, and candidates who do not pass the PFT will be unable to continue with the procedure. The following are the specifics of PFT.
Running: Candidates must run a 1.6-kilometer race in under 7 minutes.
Push-ups and Uthak Baithak: Candidates must also do 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 push-ups.
Note: The written exam and physical fitness test will both be held on the same day.
MR Recruitment Merit List
The Indian Navy MR Recruitment merit list will be compiled based on the written examination results, subject to passing the physical fitness test. Around 400 candidates would be called for the Enrollment Medical Examination at INS Chilka depending on state merit.
