Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Congress’s Rahul Gandhi and discussed about the political scenario in the country. Nitish Kumar came to Delhi for the mission called Mission Opposition. Nitish Kumar and Rahul Gandhi, both of them discussed about the ways for the opposition unity.

Nitish Kumar met Rahul Gandhi at his Tughlaq Road residence on September 5. The key objective of the discussion was based on the upcoming 2024 elections.
Meanwhile, Kumar stated while interacting with the media persons that he had no ambition for the top post. In this regard, Kumar further stated, ”There is a concerted effort to weaken regional parties. My effort is to unite the Opposition ahead of the general elections. I have no intention of pitching myself as a prime ministerial candidate.”
On the other hand, after their break-up with the Bharatiya Janata Party, it is being told that Kumar actually wants the top post such as prime ministerial candidate. Regarding his visit to Delhi, Kumar stated that his visit is meant to bring all the opposition leaders under one umbrella. This task is undoubtedly a challenge for themselves.
The people Kumar wants to meet includes many dignitaries including Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal, HD Kumararaswamy, Chief, Janata Dal Secular, Sharad Power, Chief, Nationalist Congress Party. Additionally, to strengthen Mission Opposition, Kumar is set to visit several places including Maharashtra, Haryana and Karnataka.
