The ‘Peak of Hope’ and trekking route at Pfutsero of Phek district has been inaugurated by Nagaland Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Neiba Kronu.
The trekking route
The inauguration of “Peak of Hope” meant the opening of a trekking route from Glory Peak to Chida Lake.
According to information, the trekking route will cover a distance of around 30 km through hilly terrain, dense forest and many historical spots.
Now, one can avail the service and facility of Polaris. Also, The Kalos Society will manage an off-road vehicle.

Neiba stressed on making Pfutsero a permanent tourist spot
On an optimistic note, the minister said he wants to convert Pfutsero into a permanent tourist destination.
He asked to put efforts on maintaining proper infrastructure, hygienic and good hospitality and the concerted effort of the public.
He also asked the public of the Pfutsero area to help each other work hand in hand to make Pfutsero a tourist attraction spot one day.
Chapel will be constructed at ‘Peak of Hope’
A Chapel will be built in the environs of the ‘Peak of Hope’, for the trekkers’ prayers and catering.
Dingulo Khutsoh, chaired the function while Rev Dr Neingupe Chiero pronounced the dedicatory prayer.
Also in the inaugural function along with Pfutsero Additional Deputy Commissioner, Japheth Woch, several other dignitaries were present.
