For the very first time kite festival is being celebrated in Nagaland’s Kikruma village under Phek district.
The festival was named as Kikruma Kite Festival or ‘K2 Fest’. This event was organized by Zeal Associates.

Kite festival theme
As per information, the kite festival was held under the theme “Fly beyond the walls”. The main objective behind celebrating this festival was to spread a positive message.
The message of breaking all boundaries, to let the imagination and creativity flow. Thereby achieving greater heights by inducing creativity.
Also, it brought in a message to approach ‘walls’ and obstacles in life with a positive mindset.
Nühüta Tünyi, EAC Pungro, said, “There are a lot of aspects to earn a livelihood so choose and pursue what you want to do in life because that gives you satisfaction.”

Kite festival was chaired by Thipuveyo Kezo
The kite festival programme was chaired by Thipuveyo Kezo. And Teisovilie Tunyi, President, Zeal Associates delivered the keynote address.
Furthermore, the kite festival was also marked best under certain categories. On maneuver, best dressed, best kite design, longest ears/tails, farthest and most passionate flier. The winners were awarded with attractive prizes too.
