Nagaland: Animal rescuers rescued and rehabilitated a pair of female black bears.

A team of animal rescuers and medical team from Kiphire Wildlife Division rescued.

Animal rescuers rescued the bears from a village

As per a press release, the rescuers team, was led by Wildlife Warden M Limaba. They rescued the bears from Shangsa village, under Mon district.

Reportedly, the bear were being reared by a family for almost three years. 

The release mentioned, “In response to the department’s awareness creation efforts and to set an example, the Family willfully donated the two, for which the Department expresses its immense gratitude to the family.”

The black bears however, has been relocated to the Nagaland Zoological Park, Dimapur.
