The Meghalaya Government-issued revised guidelines for entry into the state given new Covid-19 variant Omicron detection in Karnataka. Also the country’s first Omicron case so far.
The new guidelines has come into effect on December 1.
New Guidelines for Registration


It is mandatory for all people entering Meghalaya to register themselves before their travel at: http://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid/testing.htm and to download the Arogya Setu App and the Behavioural Change Management App of Meghalaya from the Google play store.
However, Tourists should register on the Meghalaya portal at https://meghalaya.gov.in/ to generate the ‘e-invite for Tourists’.
Covid-19 Testing
- RT-PCR Testing at Entry Points is mandatory for all persons visiting the State if they have not been fully vaccinated (both doses) or do not have an RT-PCR Negative Report that is issued by a recognized laboratory 72 hours before their arrival at the entry point.
- Persons showing symptoms on arrival at the Entry Point will be mandatorily tested by RT-PCR.
Important: Travellers who do not have home quarantine facilities, need to pre-book their hotels before filling the form.
