Assam’s star boxer Lovlina Borgohain and Ankushita Boro are all set for the upcoming World Championship that is scheduled to be held from 6th May 2022 in Turkey.

As per reports from a leading news agency of the state, the two boxers, Lovlina Borgohain and Ankushita boro are receiving training from competitors from 11 different countries. Coach Pranamika Bora said, “the training is going on in full swing. We are getting to train with boxers from 11 countries which have definitely boosted up the confidence of our girls.”
The coach also extended her heartfelt gratitude to the officials for sending the Indian Boxing Contingent ahead of the schedule in order to practice with other professionals. The practice has helped everyone to get accustomed with the surroundings and also to get the opponent’s strength and weakness for their own advantage.
Both the players will be playing for different categories – Lovlina will be playing under 70 kg category and Ankushita will be playing under 66 kg category. According to the coach, both the players has the potential of winning gold in the tournament. The coach, Pranamika Bora herself won the international title back in her days in 2004.
The training is going on with players from Algeria, Dominica, Morocco, Serbia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Morocco, Panama and Uzbekistan.
