Lone survivor Group Captain Varun Singh passed away this morning after fighting for a long. He fought the injuries sustained in the Helicopter crash accident on December 8.
IAF informed the same sharing deep condolences to the family. Prime Minister Narendra Modi too tweeted about his death.

Thirteen of the 14 passengers on board the Mi-17V5 chopper that crashed near Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor, including Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat lost their lives.
Group Captain Varun Singh was the sole survivor of the crash and was on life support, undergoing treatment at the Military Hospital in Wellington.
