A heartwarming video shared by the Asian Cricket Council went viral on the Internet, wherein Shah surprised his girlfriend at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
The ACC Tweet read, “She said YES! A heartwarming moment when Hong Kong’s Kinchit Shah proposed to his SO after playing a big match against India. A huge congratulations to the happy couple. We wish you all the joy and happiness in your new life together.”
After a long gap of four years, Hong Kong played a fixture against India. Despite the defeat, it was good fixture for Hong Kong as it will remain a memorable game for a long time.
After the match was over, the cricketer was however not disappointed as his girlfriend said yes to his proposal.
India becomes the first team from Group A to qualify for Super Four, after their win over Hong Kong.
Team Hong Kong is set to face Pakistan in a virtual knockout fixture on Friday (September 2).
