Kangana Ranaut has become a supporter of SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The Telugu film, directed by Rajamouli and written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn playing vital roles.
On Saturday, the actress took to Instagram Stories to show her support for the film. She revealed RRR’s worldwide opening day box office haul and expressed her eagerness to see the film.
“Can’t wait to see my favourite writer + director combination…” Kangana wrote this as she shared a poster with Ram Charan and Jr NTR, as well as the first day’s box office receipts.
RRR has seen a massive opening. On its first day, the film grossed Rs 223 crore at the box office around the world.
Kangana and Vijayendra Prasad have previously worked together on two projects: Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in 2019 and Jayalalithaa’s biopic Thalaivi in 2021. Moreover, Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Sita — The Incarnation is said to be written by him.
While fans will have to wait to see how their hattrick project turns out, they can enjoy RRR right now. On Friday, several shows in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were sold out, and box office collections in several other states were also impressive. RRR has also had a successful international business.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#RRR Day 1 biz… Gross BOC… #AP: ₹ 75 cr, #Nizam: ₹ 27.5 cr, #Karnataka: ₹ 14.5 cr, #TamilNadu: ₹ 10 cr, #Kerala: ₹ 4 cr, #NorthIndia: ₹ 25 cr, #India total: ₹ 156 cr, #USA: ₹ 42 cr, Non-US #Overseas: 25 cr WORLDWIDE TOTAL: ₹ 223 cr.” The film has broken the record of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala, in 2017, had revealed that Baahubali 2 had recorded Rs 217 crore worldwide.
Not only has the film performed well at the box office, but it has also received positive reviews from a number of industry celebrities.

Allu Arjun took to Twitter earlier in the day and said, “Hearty Congratulations to the Entire team of RRR. What a spectacular movie. My respect to our pride @ssrajamouli garu for the vision. Soo proud of my brother, a mega power @AlwaysRamCharan for a killer & career-best performance. My Respect & love to my Bava… powerhouse @tarak9999 for a spectacular show.” He deemed Ajay’s appearance as brilliant while he called Alia the ‘sweetest’.
Moreover, Ram Charan’s father Chiranjeevi called SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ a ‘master storyteller’s masterpiece’.
Chiranjeevi wrote. “RRR is the Master Storyteller’s Master Piece !! A Glowing & Mind-blowing testimony to @ssrajamouli ’s Unparalleled Cinematic vision! Hats off to the Entire Team!!” RRR also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
