On the night of November 5, a huge fire broke out at Jorhat’s Slogan café. It’s is believed that the reason behind the fire caught up is due to burning of some firecrackers around.
People’s outrage in social media
A Facebook user shared a post mentioning all the horrors of firecrackers.
He also mentioned people’s obsession with rockets and how this actually not only affects but risks other’s life to a severe extent.
Many of the users commented and showed concern for the beloved cafe.
New café burnt to ashes
In April this year, three friends together namely Subrat Dutta, Chinmoy Gogoi and Debabrot Gogoi inaugurated the slogan cafe with high dreams and hopes. It was situated in the choladhora area of Jorhat.
Talking to ETV Bharat Assam, Subrat Dutta said that it took hardly 5 to 10mins to burn down the entire cafe.
He also said that a dream broke down but he was positive enough that slogan cafe will rise again.
