India’s Dipika Pallika and Saurav Ghosal wins two gold medal at the World Doubles Squash Championship. Both the players have won the Mixed Doubles title. This is the first time that India has brought back gold in Squash Tournament.

India wins two gold medals
The PSA World Doubles Championship that is being held at Glasglow witnesses the win of India in the Mixed doubles category. The 30 year old Dipika Pallika was on a break from the sport since the last three years, returns back with her winning the gold.
This win by both the players has been a historic win for the country. Dipika and Saurav played the mixed doubles against England’s Adrian and Alison. The Indian team defeated the English Pair with 11-9, 4-11 and 11-8.
Joshna said in an interview that, “We wanted to come out with a good solid plan in the final since they had beaten us a few days ago. It was a tough match and it feels great to come out as winners.”
The mixed doubles between the two teams was quite a show with a beautiful display of talent and dedication. The match was closed in 22 minutes.

Dipika who has been away from the sport recently gave birth to twins last year. She recalls how people have encouraged and motivated her to return to the game. In the last game, back in 2016, Saurav and Dipika lost the mixed doubles against a team from New Zealand.
