The Union Government has decided to offer humanitarian assistance and development cooperation to the Taliban regime in Afghanistan has created an uprise among many of the Islamic nations in the neighbourhood.
India engagement with Taliban regime
The Indian Diplomat, JP Singh is expected to return today from the foreign nation, it has however become quite clear that the two countries aim to cooperate on bilateral terms. This new interaction between both countries has caught the attention of China and Pakistan.
The engagement between both the countries has also triggered Afghanistan’s neighbour, Tajikistan because of its deeply adversarial relationship with the Sunni Pashtun forces.
The country has maintained a recalibration of its relationship with Tajikistan as the country has moved very close to Beijing in the past decade.
The country now also aims to redefine the foreign policy objectives in Dushanbe and India’s engagement with the Taliban regime is a new step in this direction.
