About IARI
Mr. Henry Phipps, an American philanthropist, generously donated 30,000 pounds to start the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), also known as Pusa Institute, at Pusa (Bihar) in 1905. Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) was the name of the institute at the time, and it had five departments: agriculture, cattle breeding, chemistry, economic botany, and mycology.
In 1907, a bacteriology unit was added. The Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research was renamed Imperial Agricultural Research Institute in 1911, and the Imperial Agricultural Research Institute was renamed Imperial Agricultural Research Institute in 1919. The institute was relocated to Delhi on July 29, 1936, following a catastrophic earthquake on January 15, 1934. The institute was renamed Indian Agricultural Research Institute after independence (IARI).

Qualification for Young Professional-I Vacancy: Post Name- Educational Qualification Young Professional-I
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with a good academic record.
Desirable: Working understanding of computers and MS Office, as well as hands-on experience with seed/planting supplies and/or agricultural/plant sciences field/laboratory work, are all desirable.
