Star Indian sprinter, Hima Das after missing out on Tokyo Olympics 2020 took to her twitter handle on Tuesday and shared a post promising to make a stronger comeback through the major events in 2022.
The 21-year-old’s last hope to qualify for Tokyo Olympics came to an end after she had undergone a hamstring injury while running 100m during the National Inter-State Athletics Championships and forced to opt-out from the 100m and 4×100m relay finals last month due to the injury.
“I will miss my first Olympics due to untimely injury when I was close to achieve the qualification standard in my new event 100m and 200m. I would like to thank my coaches, support staff and my teammates for their continuous support. But I will make a strong comeback and looking forward to Commonwealth Games 2022, Asian Games 2022 and World Championship 2022,” Hima said in a post shared on her twitter handle.
