According to the IndiaToday survey, Assam Chief Minister rated best in managing the second wave of deadly COVID-19.
Among the BJP-ruled states, Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been rated the best chief minister in India Today – Mood of the Nation Survey 2021.
Why did CM Himanta Biswa Sharma achieve this milestone?
Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma took oath as a CM in Assam state on May 10th. And within three months from taking charge of the CM office, he has achieved to be rated best CM of India on the basis of handling COVID-19 second wave in Assam.

The other CMs on this list
According to the survey, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik is in second place, followed by Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.
According to the reports, around 73 percent of people are satisfied with the Covid management in Odisha, followed by 72 percent in Assam and 63 percent in Jharkhand.
HBS being the best-rated CM
Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma said:
“I don’t want to comment on this. We don’t know what the situation will be tomorrow. I pray to the almighty that COVID should go away soon,” said Dr Sarma.
