High profile car thief has been arrested by the Dispur police from the Zoo Road area of Guwahati. On Saturday, 22 January, the police arrested High profile car theft for the second time.
About the case
As per reports, the information came across sources that the car thief was earlier arrested by Dispur police on another car stealing case in the city that took place back in the year 2015 on 5th April.
After his first arrest, he was sent to the Tihar Jail located in the national capital New Delhi but from there he was released after six months of imprisonment.
He was reportedly detained by police for two consecutive times for his connection with two car rubbery in Guwahati. This time he has been arrested by the city police in Zoo Road location in Guwahati. A case has been filed against Chauhan at the Dispur Police station under the IPC (Indian Penal Code) section 380 based on the case vide (4405/21)
Earlier a few days ago the CGPD (Central Guwahati Police District)arrested a thief from the Chaygaon area of Guwahati. The robber was identified as Md Sonowar Ali who was caught stealing cash, a smartphone and gold bangles.
