Students of Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning B-Arch 3rd year, specifically in the 5th semester along with faculties, Ar. Jayashree Talukdar, Ar. Jyotimoni Das and Ar. Hirak Jyoti Baishya visited the site of an architectural design topic- “Performing Arts Centre(PAC)” in North Guwahati, Amingaon.
The site selected for the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) is adjacent to the ropeway terminal and Hindi Teacher’s Training College.
The site is a contour land filled with shrubs, bushes and trees which gives a positive approach for the project.
From the site, one can view the river Brahmaputra and the site is suitably placed alongside all the major tourist’s attraction points like:
