In a tragic road accident, a youth from the Hatigaon area of Guwahati has been reportedly killed after he was hit by a GMC vehicle. The incident took place on Monday, in Hatigaon locality.
GMC vehicle rams into youth
As per reports, the youth who has been identified as Teertha Pratim Deka, aged 32 was hit by a GMC garbage pickup truck. The speeding vehicle rammed into the youth, thus killing him on spot. Police arrived at the spot and the deceased was immediately taken to GMCH for post-mortem.
The deceased was a resident of the Narengi area, Guwahati and worked with KIA Motors as a salesperson.
The vehicle number has the registration numbers AS 01 DO 4362.
Furthermore, the road leading towards Hatigaon-Bhetapara has been blocked by the locals, following the accident.
