Gauhati University has announced the official notice of the Gauhati University B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET) for admission to the GU B.Ed. Course in the academic year 2021-2022.
Interested applicants can apply online through GUBEDCET’s official application portal for admission to Gauhati University’s Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program beginning October 22, 2021.
Gauhati University B.Ed Admission Details
The name of the examination is Gauhati University B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET-2021) which falls under B.Ed. Program for the academic session 2021-2022. There will be a common entrance examination of 2hours duration and it will be held in offline mode (MCQ). The date of the entrance test is set for 21st November 2021 (Sunday) from 11 AM to 1:00 PM. Candidates who wish to apply for GUBEDCET-2021 online must pay an application fee of Rs.1100.00 + Bank Transaction Charge.
Eligibility Criteria
According to NCTE guidelines, a candidate may be eligible to take the GUBEDCET-2021 if he or she has completed a B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., MA/ MSc/M.Com, or comparable degree program from a recognized Board/University with at least 50% (or 45 percent for SC/ST/OBC/PWD).

GUBEDCET 2021 Details
All interested students must take a common entrance test ordered for Gauhati University B.Ed Admission. The following is the GUBEDCET exam structure:
– Total No of Questions: 100
– Duration of GUBEDCET Exam: 2 hours 30 minutes
– Type of Questions: All questions will be of MCQ type with four choices of which only one answer will be the correct option.
– Language of Question Paper: The test Booklet and the OMR will be in English. The test will be OMR-based.
– Marking System: There will be 4 marks for the correct answer and (-1) for the wrong answer. No negative marks for unanswered questions.
GUBEDCET Syllabus
Section A includes the topics of General English (Vocabulary, Tense, Voice, Narration, Prepositions, Correction of sentences, Comprehension) of 120 marks.
Section B includes the topics of General Knowledge (Indian History, Indian Polity, General Science, Current affairs) of 120 marks.
Section C includes the topics of Test of Reasoning and Numerical Ability of 120 marks.
Section D includes the topics Current Indian Education (Issues and Policies) National Policy on Education 2020, Universalization of Elementary Education – Right to Education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Secondary Education – Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) of 40 marks.
GUBEDCET Examination Centres
Candidates can take the exam at any of the following GUBEDCET-2021 centers, which must be specified when filling out the online application. The candidate must choose one of three examination centers. Based on the viability of each Centre, a candidate will be assigned to one of the Centers – Guwahati, Nagaon, Nalbari, Barpeta, Dhubri, Rangia, Morigaon, Pathsala, Mangaldai, Goalpara, Tezpur, and Jorhat.
