Since April, security officials in Manipur have confiscated drugs worth over Rs 182 crore.
This was informed by Manipur chief minister Biren Singh on Wednesday.
Drugs 2.0 campaign
“The war on drugs 2.0 campaign has been highly successful since the new government was constituted,” Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh stated.
“We have confiscated various types of medicines worth about Rs 182.3 crore in the foreign market,” said Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh.
Furthermore, since April 20, 380 acres of poppy production in Manipur have been eradicated.
Moreover, Manipur’s chief minister, Biren Singh, stated on Wednesday that 380 acres of poppy production had been removed.
The Manipur chief minister also praised the state’s residents for vowing to fight illegal drug trafficking and poppy growing.
“Today, practically all communities in the state support and cooperate with us,” Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh said.
