The Dibrugarh district administration issued an order according to which five schools in the district will be closed for a week.
The closure of five schools was announced following the increases in Covid-19 cases in the schools.
Dibrugarh schools will reopen after 7 days
Reportedly, the schools will be allowed to re-open after 7 days with due permission from the Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh.
Inspector of Schools, Dipika Choudhury, issued the order for the closure of the five schools.
Considering the increase in number of cases detected in the school premises the following decision was taken.
Dibrugarh district schools which will remain closed for 7days are
1) Nandeswar Chakravorty HS School in Dibrugarh (15 cases),
2) Sepon Hatipati High School in Sepon (8 cases),
3) Chachani Jamunamukh HS School in Chachani Jamunamukh (9 cases)
4) Tipling Girls High School in Tipling (11 cases),
5) Naharkatia HS School in Naharkatia (11 cases)
On the other hand, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, has released HS Exam Routine for the year 2022.
As per the official notification, 12th grade exams will begin on 15th March, 2022, and will end on April 12, 2022.
Also, the high school exams will be held in two shifts. The morning shift will be running from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the afternoon shift will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The practical exams of class 12 will take place from 21 February to March 10, 2022. And all the exams will be conducted in offline mode, following the COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Recently, nine schools from Kamrup Metro District were also declared as containment zones by the district administration amidst the increasing Covid-19 cases.
