In Bilasipara, Dhubri, some people destroyed a Homeo Clinic in protest of the death of a newborn infant.
What happened in Dhubri?
After a three-day-old infant became ill, his family rushed him to the Nayantora Homeo Clinic in Bilasipara for treatment.
Dr. Bikash Chandra Sarkar gave the infant a few drops of medication, and then the baby died.
The newborn’s family claimed that he died as a result of Dr. Sarkar’s incorrect treatment. As soon as word got out, some people came to the clinic and vandalised it.
Police arrived on the scene after receiving information and brought the situation under control.

Dr. Sarkar, on the other hand, refuted the charges, claiming that what he did for the newborn’s treatment was captured by the CCTV camera inside his clinic.
Later, the parents and relatives of the deceased newborn urged that the homoeopathic practitioner be prosecuted.
