Deepika Padukone was recently in Paris to attend Louis Vuitton‘s ready to wear Summer/Spring latest collection. The star opened up about her global ambitions and revealed how a Hollywood actor commented on her English.
Deepika Padukone: Hollywood Actor Once Commented On Her English
The actor said during an interview, “I know this actor… I met him at this Vanity Fair party, and he said ‘Hey by the way, you speak English really well.’ I didn’t even realise what that meant. And when I came back I said, ‘What do you mean you speak English really well?’ Did he have this notion that we don’t speak English?”
It is noted that Deepika Padukone is the brand ambassador of global brands such as Levi’s, Adidas, Louis Vuitton, Cartier and so forth. She sometimes finds herself in spaces where she is an unknown quantity and knowledge of India is negligible.
“It would upset me every time I went to the US. Some of the things that are said and some of the things that are done just make it so obvious that people don’t know the world outside of the world that they live in,” Deepika Padukone added.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone will be soon seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, also starring John Abraham, Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, the official Hindi remake of the 2015 Hollywood film The Intern, starring Amitabh Bachchan.
