Conrad Sangma, the chief minister of Meghalaya, Mukul Sangma, the leader of the opposition, and Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh gathered on a single stage on Tuesday evening to perform Christmas carols.
Meghalaya Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh hosted a pre-Christmas event in the ancient Assembly premises in Shillong’s Police Bazaar.
The event was also attended by MLAs and employees from the Meghalaya Assembly.
The chief minister and Mukul Sangma, the opposition leader, gathered together to perform Christmas carols, despite their political differences.
Charles Pyngrope, the TMC leader and former Speaker of Meghalaya, also joined the three on stage to sing Christmas carols.
