Burmese Supari Seized In Cachar: One more seizure was done in Assam’s Cachar district. Notably, the police department recovered 2000 kg Burmese Supari which was being transported to Assam from Mizoram.

On December 30, the episode took place at Lailapur checkpost near Assam Mizoram border. As per reports, the illicit items were packed inside an oil tanker.
The contraband was seized from a vehicle with registration number AS-28-AC-0225. The driver has been identified as Saabul Uddin.
It is mentioned the police officials informed that investigation is on regarding the matter while interrogating the arrested one.
Significantly, the local farmers are facing huge loss in business because of the large scale smuggling from states like Assam and Mizoram.
