The fourth edition of the Youth Men’s and Women’s National Championships, which marked the return of domestic boxing action in India following the COVID-19 pandemic, was opened by Hemanta Kumar Kalita, secretary general of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI), in the presence of other local dignitaries, according to the BFI.
The current Youth Men and Women National Championships will run through July 23, according to the announcement, while the third edition of Junior Boys National Championships and the fourth edition of Junior Girls National Championships will take place from July 26 to July 31. The event will serve as a selection tournament for the 2021 ASBC Youth and Junior Boxing Championships, which will be held in Dubai from August 17 to August 31, according to the release.
