The banks will remain closed for the next 3 days as the Reserve Bank of India released the holiday schedule in the month of August across India.

Banks will remain closed from 19th to 21st August

The banks in several Indian states of the country are to remain closed for a stretch from 18th August to 21st August.

The banks will also be shut in some of the places on 19th August – Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Shimla, Shillong, Ranchi, Patna, Jammu, Jaipur, Gangtok and Chennai.

Banks in Hyderabad will remain close on 20th August for the occassion of Shri Krishna Ashtami. And 21st being a Sunday, all banks will remain closed.

Every bank is closed in India on the occasion of Janmashtami in cities – Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji and Thiruvananthapuram.

Banks will also be closed in Guwahati on August 29 2022 owing to the Tithi of Srimanta Sankaradeva and also on August 31, 2022, for the commemoration of Ganesh Chaturthi.
