Assam: Government announces ‘Special Casual Leave’ for employees as New year gift

Assam Government has brought a new year gift by announcing special casual leave for government employees. The leaves are on January 6th and January 7th, 2022.

About the decision

The GAD (General Administration Department), in a notification, says that the state government employees will avail the ‘Special Casual Leave’ on January 6 and 7, 2022.

However, January 8 (Second Saturday) and January 9 (Sunday) are normal holidays. Hence, the employees will get 4 day leaves to enjoy.

The notification further said, “These two ‘Special Casual Leaves’ allow the government employees to spend their time with their living parents and parents in law.” It added, ” The ministers may also take the advantage of this break.”
