Assam Police had an exchange of gun shots with cattle smugglers who were trying to flee from the clutches of the police. The incident occurred in the Dhubri District of Assam on Saturday, 9th of April 2022.
Assam Police shoots cattle smugglers
The cattle smugglers have been identified to be Nasir Ali,Sohidul Ali and Sakan Ali. The former two wee injured in the exchange of bullets whereas he latter was dead.
The Assam Police were able to track the vehicle in which the three of them were travelling and had intercepted them. According to the reports, The police received a tip off regarding the movement of the vehicle that was carrying the smuggled cattles. The vehicle in which the smugglers were moving was Tata Indigo.
The police managed to trace the vehicle and tried to stop the criminals. The smugglers open fired at the police following which both the parties exchanged gun shots. Ultimately, a bullet hit one of the smugglers and the other were suffered injuries. The two of them were taken to the civic hospital in Dhubri.
