The employees of Assam serving under the government sector will be given four days leave in the second week of the January month in year 2022, so that they can spend quality time with their parents.
About the decision
The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting which was chaired by the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma where he said that the leaves will be given from January 7 to January 11 of 2022 with a station leave permission.
Statements by the Assam CM
“We have given them these leaves for their parents, but if an employee lost both their parents, then these leaves can be used for their parents-in-law”, CM Sarma said. He also said that employees who live far from their parents can visit them while the other can go for a vacation during the time being.
He also said that those who are not willing to visit their parents will not be given the leaves.
